Dr. Pearnel Bell

Dr. Pearnel Bell is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and currently the Regional Clinical
Psychologist for the Northeast Regional Health Authority (NERHA). Dr. Bell received extensive
professional and academic training in Jamaica and overseas. She has a Ph.D. in Clinical/General
Psychology from Capella University in Minnesota. She holds a Master’s Degree in Human
Resource Management from Nova Southeastern University, a Diploma in teaching from
Moneaque Teachers College and Post Graduate Certificate in Clinical Psychology from Walden
University. She is an Adjunct Faculty at the Adler Graduate School in Minnesota, USA and a
Professor at Yorkville University in Canada. Dr. Bell is also in private practice as a clinical
psychologist specializing in child, adolescence and adult interventions. She has presented at
international conferences across the USA and Canada. Dr. Bell has made significant
contributions to the field of psychology she is sought after to provide psychological perspective
on many issues affecting the Jamaican psyche, frequently quoted in the news media, and is
highly respected for her contribution to the field of psychology. She is the author of eight books.
She has a very busy schedule but finds time to relax with friends and family for her monthly
poetry evenings.
