“Constant kindness can accomplish much. As the sun makes ice melt, kindness causes misunderstanding, mistrust, and hostility to evaporate.” Albert Schweitzer
Can You Level-up Your Kindness?
Being kind for some people comes naturally, there is no off or on button that they use to determine when to be kind. On the opposite end of the spectrum there are those who have to constantly remind themselves to be kind.
However, more important than where you find yourself on the spectrum is the question of why or what makes one choose to be kind
Kindness is simply exercise of the mind that helps to cultivate resilience. Practice this everyday to make it into a habit that will help someone’s day more fulfilling.
We will work on introspection.
‘RAKtivist’ is short for ‘Random Acts of Kindness activist’. Think of RAKtivists like kindness ambassadors—and, like all ambassadors, they’re a part of an active, global community who are helping to make kindness the norm.
Get a jar, document all the acts of kindness you’ve done so far on paper, when you have completed that task, keep the paper strips in the jar and tuck it away. You can start adding to it – always look for an opportunity to give back!
