Why is Global Money Week important
According to the Global Money Week website, “GMW is an annual global celebration, initiated by Child & Youth Finance International (CYFI), with local and regional events and activities aimed at inspiring children and youth to learn about money, saving, creating livelihoods, gaining employment and becoming an entrepreneur.”
How to observe Global Money Week
- Series of activities engaging children, youth, and their communities in learning about financial education and financial inclusion
The aim of Global Money Week is to encourage youth to share their ideas – but also to elevate these ideas and motivate action. The celebrations are concentrated in one week, but the impact of the ideas and lessons during this week will have a long-lasting impact and bring about action.
